After Buffalo shelter dog jumps into UPS driver’s truck, he gets adopted

What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving? For one local dog, he’s grateful he jumped into a UPS driver’s truck.

Ernie, a City of Buffalo Animal shelter dog, was walking with a volunteer on Oct. 5 when he met a UPS driver named Jason who invited him into his truck.

“He hopped right up when I called him,” said Jason Coronado.

Coronado kept in touch with the volunteer about Ernie and his kids were sad he didn’t bring him home.

“Cindy [the volunteer] had posted something about another dog and I asked how Arnie was doing. I was sad to find out he was still at the shelter. After talking with my wife and the kids, we agreed to that wewould meet him.”

Arnie had a meet and greet the Coronados and it went swimmingly. He will be going to his new home tomorrow.
