Brosius brothers keep the spirit of Christmas alive thanks to dad

Jason and Jacob Brosius of Niagara County sure know how to get into the Christmas spirit. The brothers have their very own Christmas trailer that they drive around North Tonawanda with Santa and friends collecting canned goods for the NT Food Pantry and Jason just recently put together an amazing light show display at his house in Pendleton for the community to enjoy.

“This is the first time I’ve done anything like this,” said Jason. “My brother and I get a little carried away with the Christmas trailer and our homes. My dad always went overboard on our home and I remember when I was little getting yelled at when I looked out the window because people would be taking pictures of our house on Linwood in NT,” laughed Jason.

The lights on Jason’s home correspond to many different Christmas songs like “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” the “Peanuts” theme song, and “Zat You Santa Claus?” All you have do is turn on 89.5 FM, sit in your warm car outside of the home at Ridgeview Heights in Pendleton, and enjoy the show!

“I really enjoy the feeling of making people happy and seeing them smile,” said Jason. “People get excited and I feel like I can spread joy.”

The brothers say they learned a lot about Christmas spirit from their dad, Tom. Tom always decorated their house elaborately during the holidays and he even lit up all the trees on Marcia Street in NT for years.

“This is the first year he’s not. Mainly because we’ve been too busy with our projects to help out. It does stink because it’s been everyone’s tradition, but hopefully we’re starting something new with my home and the Christmas trailer.”

Here’s to hoping there are more Brosius Family Christmas traditions for many years to come!
