Centers Health Care residents paint pink pumpkins for local women affected by breast cancer

Residents at Centers Health Care in Buffalo put their artistic talents to work Monday to paint pink pumpkins for the Breast Cancer Network of WNY.

Residents at Centers Health Care in Buffalo put their artistic talents to work Monday to paint pink pumpkins for the Breast Cancer Network of WNY.

The nonprofit is hosting an event on Oct. 21 to raise funds for women with breast cancer and Centers Health Care thought the pink pumpkins would be a great activity for residents to enjoy and give back during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“They are participating in an activity that brings joy to themselves and others,” said Annalise Freling, regional marketing manager. “We wanted to bring awareness to breast cancer and bring a little cheer to those affected by breast cancer as well. Many residents don’t get the opportunity to venture out so this connects them to the community”
