Local woman fighting autoimmune disorder meets Amy Poehler at airport

While waiting for her Wings Flights of Hope plane at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, Donnarumma ran into Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler!

Diana Donnarumma, a local woman fighting a severe autoimmune disorder, has been checking many things off of her bucket list. But not because she’s giving up hope, it’s just because she’s awesome.

And today she checked off one more!

While waiting for her Wings Flights of Hope plane at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, Donnarumma ran into Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler! There were other celebrities walking around, too, she said, but Amy is her absolute favorite.

“Being sick has definitely shown me the beauty in a storm. This awful illness has given me the courage to step out of my comfort zone! I never want to be the person who said… I wish I did xyz

Tomorrow isn’t promised so make the most out of today,” she said in a Facebook post.

Diana said that she and Amy talked about what was going on with her (healthwise) and how she likes to use humor to deal with it all. “She said I looked famous like Amy Adams. I dont see it, but I’ll definitely take the compliment,” she joked.

But oh wait! Then Gabrielle Union walked by! We told Diana that she should say hello to her, too, but Diana was sweet and said she didn’t want to bother anymore celebrities. “I will say this is the most fun I’ve ever had at an airport though,” she laughed.
