When 3-year-old Rosie Thrasher Miller was in desperate need of a kidney transplant, her mother reached out to Kidney Connection, a local non-profit that helps find donors for those in need. In just a few days, a hero came forward to save the day. Rosie got the kidney she needed to help save her life.
So what amazing thing did this family do to pay it forward? Rosie’s stepdad went back on the Kidney Connection website and found someone else in need of a kidney. On Feb. 21, a woman named Michelle, who never met Levi or his family, now received a kidney that saved her life.
According to Jeanette Caprino, founder of Kidney Connection, the family was so grateful to the person who saved their daughter’s life they felt they wanted to do that for someone else.

Levi will now be out of work for a minimum of 12 weeks while he heals, so Caprino has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise $3,000 to keep the family on their feet while Levi is out of work. Rosie is a twin and has three other siblings. No donation is too big or too small.
