There’s two sides to every story.
While most people saw a man named Tristan Lambright (better know as SenorWiener to his roller derby friends) take the naked run of his life on New Era Field at yesterday’s Bills game, family sees it as the laugh they needed most.
Tristan and family recently had to deal with the death of a beloved family member. During their time of grief, Tristan’s wild antics was just what they needed to get through this difficult time.
“Everybody keeps texting me: ‘Wow, your son is buff!’ I’m not looking, I say back. People have been asking me for an autographed copy of his naked picture, it’s crazy,” Tristan’s mom, Kari, said with a laugh.
But as hysterical as it is, this behavior is unlike Tristan. His mother explained yes, he’s a funny guy, but not funny enough to run around naked.
“I’m telling you, I was so surprised. I can see Tristan being silly with his clothes on, but not off. I couldn’t believe it,” she said.
Tristan’s mom said she can’t get over how much publicity her son’s streaking has received, but she’s so glad it did.
“With all the political nonsense you see every day, something crazy like this happens and now he’s in the spotlight – taking us away from all the negativity,” she remarked.
Roller derby friends have started the hashtag #freethewiener and say “he was only charged with a misdewiener – the only D on the field.”
A benefit will soon be thrown in Tristan’s name to raise money for the homeless – The Pants Off Dance Off to be held 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Expo Market in Buffalo. More info here: www.facebook.com/events/163785320885697??ti=ia
We have a feeling he will have an overwhelming amount of support and love for this.
