Pets Alive WNY (PAWNY), a no-kill animal rescue organization in Niagara County, will host an anniversary lawn fete fundraiser 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 9 on the shelter grounds, 7007 Campbell Blvd, Pendleton.

The event will feature a huge basket raffle; bucket of booze raffle; BBQ food; pulled pork sandwiches; vegan village food booth; kids games with prices; select vendors; a DJ; sweet treats; and more.

In its 11th year, the nonprofit advocates for companion animals in the community through rescue, education, spay/neuter programs and advocacy. PAWNY is a 100 percent volunteer-based organization that rescues and rehouse more than 500 animals each year, completely funded by generous donations and fundraising events.

“I myself found a very emaciated, sick abandoned cat in my neighborhood that was near death just a couple months ago, and PAWNY took him in, paid his vet bills, and are nursing him back to health, so I’ve seen firsthand their dedication and passion to help every animal in need that they can,” said Patti Mann, volunteer.
