A Buffalo woman reached out on Facebook today to see if anyone would be interested in adopting puppies in need from Puerto Rico who will be put down if they aren’t rescued.
“Anyone out there looking to adopt a puppy this holiday season? My colleague is looking for someone to adopt these 1-week-old pups from Puerto Rico before they are put to sleep… I so badly wish my landlord approved pets otherwise they would have homes.. Please spread the word or let me know if you’re interested, I will put you in touch,” said Taylor Baudendistle in a Facebook post.

The puppies are at an individual’s house in San German, Puerto Rico, not a shelter. A nice woman is fostering these dogs and she is willing to take them to the airport and make sure they arrive to New York safely. She still has no electricity in her home from the hurricane or any funds to keep seven dogs for long. If she takes them to the shelter they will be put down.
There are six one-week old puppies – black and brown colors – four boys (three brown, one black), two girls (one brown girl got adopted, but still needs to be brought to New York.) The
mother is large, young, and loves her puppies. (no cats, other pets, or small children, loves humans). She is not aggressive, just hasn’t been socialized properly.
