‘Stellabration’ to celebrate remarkable teen battling leukemia

Save the date because a “Stellabration” is coming to North Tonawanda! On Saturday, Oct. 13, the WNY community will come together to celebrate Stella Usiak who has been battling leukemia since 2011. Every day is a challenge for sweet Stella, but this past weekend was especially devastating. She was in a hotel in Canada with her mom patiently waiting to see her idol, Taylor Swift, in concert when she broke her leg. Now family and friends have come together to support her.

“This is a celebration of Stella. She’s been through so much and she reminds me daily how fortunate I am to have my health,” said Brian Markovich, one of the event organizers.

“Stellbration” will be held 5 to 11 p.m. Oct. 13 at Gratwick Hose Fire Company on Ward Road in NT. The benefit will help the Usiak family with their growing medical bills. Your donation of baskets, services, or monetary donations would be greatly appreciated. Call 716-946-3715 or visit www.facebook.com/events/673949176296191/?ti=icl for more information.
