Teacher has students color on white dress and it’s inspiring

An Oklahoma art teacher posted an inspiring photo of a dress that was designed by her elementary students.

Haley Curfman posted on Facebook that this is the second year she’s brought a white dress to school to have her students fill with their artwork and says it’s one of her favorite things to do in class.

“This is something I’d seen on Pinterest a few years ago and I fell in love with the idea. I think every teacher should do this! It’s a great project and an even better keepsake.”

She’s also done some other great projects like bringing in “Kindness” T-shirts and having students write nice words about each other on them.

And she made a “Soar with Kindness” mural at the school using 300 feathers the students filled with kind words.

What a great way to promote creativity — we love it!

I love this! Where did you get your dress? I’m a first year teacher and would love to do something like this 🙂

      Leah,

On her facebook post, she says that she got the dress from amazon for less than 20$ and it’s cotton/spandex. Her facebook is Haley Curfman if you want to go take a look and get more information and inspiration 🙂
