Tonawanda man to deliver 126 games to children before Christmas

A Town of Tonawanda man is on a mission to deliver 126 games to children before Christmas.

Every year, with the help of his co-workers, Mark Porter purchases gifts for his sister’s school –Stanley Makowski Early Childhood Center in Buffalo. This year thanks to their generosity, he was able to purchase the entire stock of Ants In Your Pants, Don’t Spill The Beans and Cootie from Five Below.

He calls it the 2017 “Santa Cause” and it brings joy to children’s faces like you wouldn’t believe. Not only does he purchase the gifts, but he will have Santa distribute the gifts for him this Friday.

“He’s one of the most selfless people I know,” said Kayla Porter, daughter. “He’s the same person who will get free tickets to a concert he’s already attending and pick someone from the back of the lawn and upgrade them to better seats. He still decorates the house for every birthday, streamers and all. He’s honestly the best person I’ve ever known. He’s the backbone of our family. Anything he can do to make someone happy, he will.”

If you would like to make a donation to the 2017 Santa Claus, which will also help purchase gloves, hats, and blankets for the homeless in the city of Buffalo, you may do so via paypal to markporter@live.com. (check friends/family option).

Porter says any size donation would be greatly appreciated and your generosity will help put a smile on someone’s face this holiday season.
