It’s been a difficult few years for the Bradley Family of Williamsville. The person they love the most, 9-year-old Sebastian Bradley, has been battling terminal cancer, but tonight it was about showing them that the WNY community cares.
Hundreds of people came to show their support for Elizabeth and Maiah Bradley, Sebastian’s mom and sister, including family, friends, strangers, and the Buffalo Sabres. It’s been a rough road for these ladies but they’ve remained strong through this difficult time in their life…all for Sebastian. They take each day at a time and devote their lives to making Sebastian’s a happy one.
“Thank you all so much for coming out. This means a lot for my family and I and the amount of people here is insane,” said Maiah.
The benefit was thrown by Elizabeth’s boyfriend, Vince Karam, owner of Greek To Me Restaraunt in Tonawanda. He said he didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he started the benefit, but by the looks of the crowd and smiling faces, he did an amazing job. Everyone who donated a basket, offered to lend a hand, sold tickets, or just came to support the family was thanked tremendously.
Patrick Kaleta of the Buffalo Sabres also stopped by to show his support. He became friends with Sebastian when he learned about his love for Legos and invited him to his house to check out his collection.
All in all, it was a beautiful event to support some amazingly deserving people. WNY, you never cease to amaze us. #SebastianStrong
