They don’t call Buffalo, N.Y. the City of Good Neighbors for no reason.
Since the WNY community received word that Sebastian Bradley, 9, of Williamsville, needed some cheering up after doctors told his family his brain tumor had doubled in size, people from all over the area stepped up to bring a smile to this amazing young man’s face.
From the Buffalo Sabres donating a suite for Sebastian and his family; to photographers like Rick Warne Photography and Jenny Lynn Photography offering to give the family free portraits; WNYers sending Sebastian hundreds of Christmas cards; Santa Claus and his sleigh of horses coming to surprise him at his home thanks to Lauralee Sibiga of LJ Grand Livery Stables and Jay Andrews; a good friend, Jenny Kaltman, helping Sebastian start Sebastian’s LEGO club at Oishei Children’s Hospital; and Berardi Immigration Law paying for a trip for the family for Sebastian to stand where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have A Dream” speech in Washington D.C. – the outpouring of love and kindness is unbelievable.
“We are getting a special visit at home from a player tomorrow and a Christmas float is coming to see him on Thursday,” said Elizabeth Bradley, Sebastian’s mom.
Needless to say Sebastian’s mom is extremely grateful for all the smiles everyone is putting on her son’s face. These are memories she, Sebastian, and her daughter, Maiah, will cherish forever.
“Seba being happy is all I want, I truly believe that having a happy soul will help the body. The love coming from everyone feels like a nice warm blanket that is hugging us,” she said.
