Linda-Fiscus-Ratajczak found a very special “Sweet Buffalo Rock” outside of her work today. The rock included a note and a $5 bill from someone who said they just wanted to do something nice in honor of their dad.
“To whoever finds this. My dad’s name was Joseph Wrobel. We lost him to liver cancer 10-10-10. Please re-hide and help keep his memory alive. He always did kind things for others. I want to do something kind, so here is $5.”
Linda was so moved that she used the money to do something kind herself.
“Found this rock at Hospice Buffalo (I work there) today along with $ (there was another one too). I used the $ to buy one of our families a chicken dinner from our fundraising event! I paid the difference. They loved it. I know this girl’s dad would have been happy. The rocks are in our gardens!❤”
Theresa Wrobel who hid the rock in honor of her dad was ecstatic to hear the good news.
“You literally brought me to tears ?. Thank you so much again. And for doing a good deed with the money I truly can’t express in words what that means to me. I’m a CNA and have had many Hospice private cases and I love seeing someone do a good deed for a family. God bless”
