Yeah, that’s blood on my face: Why ‘Vampire Facelifts’ are all the rage

I may not be Kim Kardashian, but I felt like her this afternoon with a “Vampire Facelift.”

The picture above, is post procedure. The “Vampire Facelift” also known as PRP will help stimulate collagen and reduce acne scarring and wrinkles. First, blood is drawn from the patients arm and placed in a centrifuge which separates the platelets into a platelet-rich plasma. The plasma is then injected into an area of the face and finished off with micro needling.

I suffered from embarrassing acne for years. I tried everything to get rid of them. From miracle creams to electronic cleansing systems, I spent lots of time and money trying to find a cure. Advanced Aesthetics has been able to dramatically decrease the appearance of my fine lines as well as rolling and icepick scars through subcision and PRP.

All in all, the procedure wasn’t too painful. The most uncomfortable part for me was getting blood drawn- I’m a baby. The injections are mildly uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them. The whole procedure lasted about 45 mins from start to finish. The longest part was waiting for plasma separate after having blood drawn. I can’t wait to see the results!

I’ve been going to Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa for more than five years. I trust Dr. Karamanoukian with my life, literally. I recommend him and his staff to treat all of your skin care and vein needs.
