Looking for an incredible evening of elegance you won’t forget? Well look no further than the “Beacon of Hope Gala” to be held Saturday, Sept. 9 at Kleinhan’s Music Hall in Buffalo.
The event is hosted by the nonprofit Mercy Flight Inc., a lifesaving medical transport, to raise critical funds to help save lives. The gala will honor our first responders and local EMS to whom we owe so much gratitude.
“We work with them daily when we are out in the field and they are crucial to us not only to our mission in the air, but also on the ground,” said Kate Glaser, director of marketing and public affairs. “We want to give them thanks and show our appreciation for all they do.”
The gala will feature an amazing dinner by Oliver’s, live and silent auctions, and an “orange” carpet experience. Guests will arrive to the gala in style – greeted by a Mercy Flight helicopter and ambulance crew. This is sure to be an outstanding event as retired Walt Disney Company executive and Hamburg native, Bryan Wittman, is leading the Mercy Flight Gala efforts.
“Mercy Flight strives to provide the most advanced, compassionate and expert emergency medical care in a way that does not create financial adversity for patients,” said Wittman. “I am consistently amazed by the work of this nonprofit, and their commitment to patient care when minutes matter.”
The gala will also have a patriotic theme to honor 9/11. Daniel Rodriguez, America’s beloved tenor, will be performing at the event, and talking about his experience as a first responder the day of the terrorist attack. Rodriguez will be flying into Buffalo a day before the gala to perform at local hospitals, and Mercy Flight’s Olean and Batavia base.
“Daniel has performed at Yankees games, Walt Disney World, and the White House, so we are truly honored to have him perform at our gala,” remarked Glaser.
Mercy Flight Inc. hopes you will attend this unforgettable event and support those who save our lives. Mercy Flight prides itself on performing lifesaving services without regard for a patient’s insurance status. Just last year, Mercy Flight forgave $1.6 million for care provided to uninsured or underinsured patients.
Incredible.
