Army veteran Bob Nowakowski has been coming to the Niagara SPCA since the 90s to give treats to dogs because “he just likes dogs,” he says. As if his heart couldn’t get any bigger, yesterday he donated $50,000 to Niagara SPCA
During a check presentation where the SPCA thanked Nowakowski for his incredible generosity, he said he was just glad he could help. This is the second donation of $50,000 he made in just a few months.
Years ago Nowakowski adopted a black lab named Chip from the SPCA. When Chip passed away, he was devastated. He thought he might never get a dog again until a few months ago when he saw an older black lab named Max at the shelter. No one wanted to adopt Max, so Nowakowski decided to open his heart to another dog again.
