Dogs Are People, Too raises $3,000 for Diamonds in the Ruff

Hundreds of dogs and their humans came out to Carruthers Park in North Tonawanda Saturday, Sept. 25 for the first “Dogs Are People, Too” event! The dog-focused event was presented by Sweet Buffalo, Alderman-At-Large Austin Tylec and Oliver Street Merchants Association to celebrate dogs and to raise crucial funds for Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue.

Dogs had the opportunity to get a dog wash with Clyde’s Feed & Animal Center, doggy tattoos from The Laundromutt, a doggy bag donated by Bellreng’s Towing & Automotive, fun in the ball pit with Tailor Mayde Photography and more! The event raised $3,000 for homeless dogs.

Dogs Are People, Too will host its second annual event next year.
