Here’s some good news for today. Hero, the dog who was stolen from a Buffalo backyard the other day, has been returned to his owner thanks to all of your shares and prayers.
“Someone called Banfield Pet Hospital and said they found him roaming two streets over by my house, so my family and I went and picked him up. I have never been more thankful,” said Melissa Torres, a disabled veteran who was missing her dog, Hero, very much.
Torres said while he was found roaming, there’s still no doubt he was stolen.
“My fence had three bungee cords tied on to reinforce the fence. There was no way he could have undid them. I believe they took him thinking he could be bred and realized he was fixed and just let him go,” she said.
Either way, Torres says she is grateful to have her dog back, who will soon be her service dog. She thanks the community for their support.
