On Saturday, May 14, 54-year-old Andre Mackneil went to Tops Markets on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo to buy his 3-year-old son a birthday cake. Sadly Andre never came home after a terrible person took his life just for the color of his skin. This doesn’t sit right with anyone and everyone wants to do their part to help, including Bianca Gabrielle, the owner of Sweet Cheeks Cake Bar in Buffalo.
On May 16, Bianca opened her business’ doors for the community to drop off presents for Andre’s son. She also worked hard to make him a very special birthday cake with superheroes, which are his favorite.
“I’m so sad and hurt for the families, for everyone who’s scared to go to the stores, this story struck me differently. I was blessed to connect with the family and have the honor to make AJ a really really cool cake in hopes to celebrate during such an uncertain time,” she said on Facebook.

If you would like to make a donation to Andre’s family, you may do so here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-for-tracey-and-aj
