Joshua Boyd was moving to his new home when someone broke into his car and stole several irreplacable items belonging to his young sons’ deceased mother.
Elizabeth Restey was a remarkable mom who sadly lost her battle to leukemia. We shared her story on Sweet Buffalo last year and there was an outpouring of love for her. When she was in the hospital receiving treatment, Restey was gifted a Sabres hockey stick with several signatures from the players; a signed white Tyler Myers jersey; Patrick Kaleta Jersey; and Bills’ jerseys from Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson.
“We keep photos of Elizabeth in their room to remind them of her. These would have been great when we could explain the story when they were old enough. Give them more facts and the items and tell them how and why she got them,” said Megan Tooke, Joshua’s girlfriend.
The family is hoping that whoever stole the items will have a heart and return them immediately. They can be returned anonymously to the Niagara Falls Police Department. You may also contact Joshua Boyd or Megan Tooke on Facebook.
