The Rockin’ the Downs Concert series is ready to rock the community!
Every Friday Batavia Downs will feature live music from bands, food trucks, cold drinks and more! But the best part is the event will give back to the community!
Rockin’ the Downs will be raffling off a signed guitar from every band to support MaryLand – A Haven for Horses. This special nonprofit organization provides sanctuary to race horses after they retire!
Maryanne is the founder, and a former horse racer, who wanted to make sure race horses had a nice life after they retire. She founded MaryLand – A Haven for Horses in 2021 and the rest is history!
Rockin’ the Downs will also be helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York, an organization they’ve supported for several years through the sales of $5 rental chairs at the concert. Last year they raised $10,000 for them!
They also support Kat Colony, a nonprofit cat rescue in Western New York that helps stray and abandoned cats. They have a tent sent up to support that allows the organization to sell their merch and do a 50/50 to save more cats!
The next concert is this Friday, June 28 featuring Nerds Gone Wild and Barracuda, America’s Heart Tribute!
Kevin Bacon (The Bacon Brothers) will also be performing on July 26!
