In the past few weeks since Niagara SPCA launched its sponsor a cage program, an initiative that invites business owners to help shelter animals, animals are getting adopted faster than ever before.
“We’ve seen our adoptions increase significantly since the beginning of this program and we’ve also realized enhance revenue through the sponsorship fees that the companies pay us,” said Tim Brennan, Executive Director of Niagara SPCA.
So what does it mean to sponsor a cage? Well, for $250 a month, a business owner or individual will sponsor a cage and get their logo on a kennel of an adoptable animal. Sponsors are even invited to meet the animal and hundred percent of the funds will go directly to helping the animal with food and medical care. Once the animal is adopted, the sponsor will get an updated photo of the animal with their new family. These business owners advocate for their sponsored animal on social media so it’s a great thing for them to see the outstanding result of their hard work. Animals are leaving the shelter faster than ever before because they have someone in their corner who cares to find them a home. It’s a win-win for the animal and for the sponsor.
