Chich, a 10-year-old dog, was surrendered by his family to the Niagara SPCA this week because he was sick.
“He came in loaded with fleas (therefore chewing on his skin.) He has hypothyroidism and the medication is causing hair loss. He does nothing but lay in his kennel. If you take him out he wants nothing but to be loved on,” said Janelle Harris of the Niagara SPCA.
Poor guy. Imagine if your family abandoned you because your health declined. Harris said Chich would do much better in a home where he can receive some love, peace, and quiet.
“He is not doing well at the shelter and would benefit immensely if he was in a home with someone who could care for him and give him the love he so desperately needs. They say love heals all things, let’s give Chich the opportunity to find that love.”
