It’s the question of the day today. Where will East Amherst’s beloved turkey go now that he’s been captured by Amherst PD?
We don’t know the answer to that yet, but we do know he will missed by many (but maybe not all) who came into contact with him. “Tom the Turkey” as he was affectionately named frequented the intersection of Klein and Paradise Roads. He had no fear of humans, which made him a great attraction to many who saw him.
One East Amherst resident said she was sad to see him go – “He was like the community pet. Weird I know, but he was our mascot.”
Who knows where this sweet turkey went, but we will have more information for you as it comes about.
UPDATE – Tom the Turkey is safe and sound. He now lives at Nora’s Ark in East Concord.
