For several years Polla Milligan has been working to make her dream of finding homes for senior dogs a reality. Now that dream is finally coming true.
This weekend White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary is inviting the public to come and see the work that has been done on the property Aug. 10 and Aug. 11 from noon to 4 p.m. at 35 Lewis Road in Akron.
While there are no senior dogs residing at the sanctuary just yet, there will be adoptable dogs and cats from other rescues to meet! Please bring a can or a bag of pet food or treats as they are having a pet food drive. The food will be distributed to pet food pantries around the WNY area.
There will be hot dogs, water and pop and pizza available for a donation and live music both days donated by musicians!
White Whiskers asks that you put your imagination hats on and try to concentrate on what it will be once the building is finished!
They have T-Shirts and hats to sell along with puzzles. And if you would like to bring your redeemable bottles and cans and Dash’s Markets’ receipts, White Whiskers will be grateful.
