Fourteen-year-old dog dropped off at SPCA and she’s extremely sad, can you help?

A family dropped off a 14-year-old dog at the Niagara SPCA and she is extremely upset. But can you blame her?

Nessy needs a foster home ASAP as the shelter is no placs for this old gal who just wants to lie her head on a soft pillow and rest.

“She is just a lovely girl but she isn’t eating and handling shelter life. She needs to spend her time on a nice bed in a home where she can relax and feel loved! Please share and let’s help this girl get a foster home ASAP. She is available at the Niagara SPCA and would just require a meet and greet if you have another dog at home! There must be someone out there to help her!” – Tina Kennedy

If you are interested in fostering Nessy, please call the SPCA at 716-731-4368.

Has she gotten adopted yet!! I pray this poor baby will soon. I would take her myself if I didn’t have a 7 year old husky/ lab at home that is very territorial and does not tolerate other dogs well.

a 14 yr old dog needs to just have a place to lay her head. Young children want to play and be part of the dogs life I dont think it would work out for young children , or for the dog

She looks like a staffordshire terrier (aka a pittbull). My daughter adopted a 10-year old male pittbull and he was the sweetest, most gentle dog. This poor baby.

FYI A staffie bull is in NO way a pittbull. Same family but totally different dog. This is why we have issues. Because people assume they are one in the same when in fact they are not. Staffie bull is half the size. Never over 40 lbs. I own staffys and my roommate breeds them. Please do your research before saying a staffie bull is aka a pittbull. Both are lovely dogs great temperament but still not the same.

I also cannot fathom just ‘dropping Lucy off’ and forgetting about her. What a despicable human.
