WNY will miss Michael LoCurto, former Buffalo councilman and all around good guy

We just learned of the passing of former Buffalo councilman, Michael J. LoCurto, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time. LoCurto was only 46 years old.

His mother, Joan, posted the heartbreaking news on Facebook last night.

“I lost a part of my heart tonight. My precious Michael LoCurto has passed.”

Community members are also saddened to hear the news offering condolences and kind words about LoCurto, a very sweet man who struggled with health problems for quite some time.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michael LoCurto. Mike was a great leader and a friend. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues in Erie County government and our community is worse off today due to his passing. – Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz

    I am heartbroken over Michaels passing. He was more then a lifelong friend,he was family!! My brothers best friend of 41 years,my niece’s Godfather and like another big brother in my life. He was a true pillar of strength and each of us our better people because of him.I pray for his parents Denis and Joani and his sister Tina’s strength at this time.He was remarkable in so many ways.He will be missed by not just friends and family but the entire city of Buffalo. Rest in paradise mike❤
