TJ Ackley of Alden hasn’t had it easy for a 10-year-old boy. At just 5 years old he was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Now sadly his family just learned the cancer is terminal.
“He is at Children’s Hospital right now and he’s sick from his treatment. He had chemo all of last week and he will be here for a few days. He will need blood and he’s been getting a fever off and on today,” said Kerry Miller, mom.
It’s been a rough road for TJ and his family, but they are standing together. The whole family shaved their heads for TJ to show they aren’t going to leave his side.
“Our friends even shaved thier heads and so did his dad, his stepdad, one of his sisters and myself,” said Miller.
She added that the community support for her son has been overwhelming. She is so grateful.
“His school has been amazing, they are really being very supportive. They have sent him a few things for him to play with and cards and things like that and they call to just say hi and see how’s he doing.’His daycare is doing a basket raffle for him and they are awesome. Our other son Kyle is still going to daycare and they are taking very good care of him! And Sweet Buffalo Rocks are doing a few different things a rock/egg hunt and they are having auctions for rocks to raise money. They rock! Our family and friends are supporting family too helping out with our son Kyle and my work is being great to,” said Miller.
But what TJ and his family really appreciate the most is the love and prayers. Here is sweet TJ saying thank you to everyone for caring.
