Western New York is famous for helping rescue animals, but we can’t simply promote companion animals because wildlife animals need our help too! That’s why at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, the Aurora Cider House in East Aurora is teaming up with Clyde’s Feed & Animal Center and Sweet Buffalo to raise funds for Hawk Creek Wildlife Center at the “Birds N’ Brews” event!
Join us for a night of craft drinks, live music, and learn about some fascinating animals from celebrity animal expert Jarod Miller!
You may recognize Jarod from his many appearances with Conan O’Brien, Rachael Ray, Jay Leno, and he even had the occasional guest spot on Live with Regis and Kelly.
He also had his own TV show “Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller,” which aired for three seasons. You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone else in Western New York more qualified to teach you about the Animal Kingdom.
$2 from every craft beverage sold will benefit Hawk Creek, so come on down to Aurora Cider House, get up close and personal with Jarod’s friends, and help out an outstanding local organization.
“This is a community effort. We in Western New York need to support Hawk Creek, because Hawk Creek supports our wildlife here in Western New York,” said Miller.
Clyde’s Feed & Animal Center owner Jim Millspaugh echoed his sentiments.
“Hawk Creek Wildlife Center rescues wildlife animals from all over the country that have no place to go. Many are permanently injured and would not survive on their own. Hawk Creek gives them a chance to thrive in their care and we must do everything we can to support their mission,” said Millspaugh.
Miller will be bringing birds to the event at 5 p.m. with Tanya Lowe of Hawk Creek Wildlife Center to provide education and answer questions. The birds will only be there for a short while as the music starts at 7 p.m.
