A local photographer recently did the most amazing photo shoot with newborns and we just had to share with you just in time before Halloween!
Annie Perdziak-Albano of Groovy Chic Photography recreated the Hocus Pocus movie using newborns as the Sanderson sisters. It’s pretty darn adorable and most certainly creative and it’s something she says she’s always wanted to do!
“Growing up, I loved everything about television and movies. I was always very dramatic and performed in school plays and local theater. I saw the movie “Hocus Pocus” at the Walden Galleria movie theater in 1993. It quickly became my favorite moviez With an all star cast of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy, how could one not love this movie? I find myself singing the music from the film especially this time of year. Now it’s a Halloween classic we are all watching with our little ones.

When I started my photography business, I knew right away I wanted to specialize in newborns. Five years ago, while watching the movie, I thought to myself how cool would it be to create the three Sanderson sisters with newborn baby girls. Each year went by and I sat on this idea. Finally this past summer, I decided to follow through. I reached out to Mimi Creations and Darling Desiree to start creating costumes, wigs and accessories. I’m a huge supporter of small business and it’s very important to me to work with other small businesses within my business. We wanted to stay true to the characters and costumes of the film.
It meant so much to me that I had so much love and support with this photography session. I couldn’t have done this without my vendors plus volunteer help, family and friends.”
Mimi’s Creations made the wigs and accessories, Darling Desirae made the props, and Fancy Fabric & Props made the fabric. The babies were provided by local moms who volunteered for the photoshoot.
