A local teen was overwhelmed with gratitude from community well wishes after he received brain surgery. Cameron Green of Allegany has been battling epilepsy his whole life, but he never gives up. He recently had brain surgery which sadly did not cure him but he says it was the community’s support that got him through.
In a heartfelt video, he thanked those who sent him dozens of cards, well wishes and support. He said he will continue to fight because of their belief.
The seizures cost the young man overwhelming pain all night every night. His mother is not able to work because she is his primary caretaker. The family has traveled all over the U.S. since he was a kid to find a cure.
No young person deserves to live like this. Cameron deserves to enjoy school and drive his first car. But yet he’s had wire taped to his head the majority of his life and has been poked and prodded with needles. His family says he’s basically a lab rat because no one can figure out what is wrong.
Cameron posted this heartfelt message after receiving cards. You can tell how touched he was after having his brain surgery. https://www.facebook.com/1828254738/posts/10214624363642618/?d=n
