A local Facebook group called WNY Hot Rods Customs and Classics is “Cruisin’ for a Cause” this Saturday to help raise funds for Niagara County SPCA. The 100-mile Charity Cruise will start at 2 p.m. at Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Road in Lewiston, heading to Fort Niagara State Park and Olcott Beach and stopping at Niagara County SPCA to bring a donation.
Founder Steve Barnes says he began hosting charity car cruise parades to bring joy to others during this difficult time and help raise funds for nonprofit organizations.
“We chose Niagara County SPCA because of the impact COVID-19 has had on them. They’ve continued to take in dogs and cats during the pandemic and they always put animals first no matter the cost,” said Barnes.
