A Western New York woman is trying to find the owner of a bank envelope she found in a plaza on Monday.
“I was at the Grey Street Plaza in East Aurora yesterday and found an envelope from a banking institution on the ground. I proceeded to pick it up and look in it and found that someone had lost money. There were no receipts in it to give an account number to find the owner, so I called said banking institution to see if we could narrow down who it might belong to. No such luck. They took my name and will call if someone calls about the money. I also checked with the stores in the area to see if anyone asked about lost money. No such luck. So, I reach out to Facebook. If you know of anyone who lost money Monday afternoon, please have them contact me. They will need to tell me the name of the institution on the envelope and how much was in it. I really would love to find the owner of this money.”
What an honest thing to do. If this is your money contact Julie Landseadel Schmidt on Facebook.
