Sweet Serena didn’t ask for this life. She didn’t ask to be left stranded at the SPCA nor did she ask for a skin condition that needs to be treated properly and has caused her to be brought back to the SPCA several times, but that is her life. She was just brought back on Saturday and she looked so terrible, volunteers almost fell to the floor.
The pictures of Serena are recent and her outbreaks are extremely disheartening. With continued help from the SPCA of Niagara medical department, and some TLC from the staff and volunteers, she is back on the road to recovery.
However, shelter life is no place for Serena. It stresses her out and makes her condition worse. She’s stolen the hearts of all volunteers who have met her, she just needs someone outside of the shelter who will love her just as much.
Serena needs to be the only animal in the household and can not go to a home with children under the age of 13. With her recommendations and allergies, it makes it very difficult for her to find the perfect match. She needs someone who is willing to keep up with her medication properly so she can live a healthy and happy life.
We know her “savior” is out there and with the help of social media, we are hoping to find that perfect person. Please share sweet Serena’s story!

PS – We at Sweet Buffalo have met Serena and taken her on walks. We can confirm her sweet and loving nature.
