Local kids remember seniors on Valentine’s Day

How sweet is this? A few local kids wanted to let seniors know they weren't alone this Valentine's Day, so they brought them special goody bags, smiles, and hugs!

Students from Court Street Elementary brightened the day of 120 seniors this Valentine’s Day with the help of nonprofit, Senior Wishes.

Senior Wishes organized a Valentine’s Day event at Ellicott Center Rehabilitation and Nursing where kids handed out goody bags, smiles and hugs to seniors last Wednesday.

The goody bags contained a puzzle book, pen, lotion, lip balm, tissues, stuffed animal, candy hearts and a homemade Valentine’s Day card created by Cori Greenawalt’s second grade students at Court Street Elementary.

How sweet is that?
