According to family and friends, Rosemary “Rosie” Billquist put the “kind” in kindness.
“Twenty-seven years ago I met my best friend, wife, love of my life. I miss you every second that goes by, but I promise I will devote the rest of my life to make sure you’re not forgotten,” said Jamie Billquist, Rosie’s husband.
Rosie was tragically killed by a hunter in the woods of Sherman, N.Y. while walking her two dogs. Now her family and friends are making sure she’s always remembered.
The Rosemary “Rosie” Billquist Fund has been created to help provide annual financial support to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care’s therapeutic pet program, Chautauqua County Humane Society and The Kidney Connection – all organizations that were closest to her heart.
While every day is a new one for Rosie’s husband, he says he’s doing well thanks to the loving support from the community.

“Rosemary is looking down and she’s gonna help me and get me through the hard times because there’s definitely gonna be plenty of hard times,” said Jamie in a Facebook video
