It’s a beautiful thing when our seniors are treated with kindness and love. Just recently, Senior Wishes, a nonprofit that grants wishes for seniors, purchased Christmas gifts for 61 seniors who have little or no family.
Gifts included bathrobes, slippers, winter gear, toiletries and craft supplies.
“It is so heart-warming to witness the joy a senior has when they open their gift and see something that was chosen just for them,” explained Wendy Miller Backman, Senior Wishes Executive Director, “In that moment, they are seen. It’s amazing how much joy a soft blanket or a warm bathrobe can bring to someone.”
