Local servicemembers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, U.S. Coast Guard Sector Buffalo, Niagara Falls Air Reserves and the Buffalo Military Entrance delivered Christmas cards to veterans at the Veterans Affairs Adult Day Healthcare Center this morning.
The cards were made by students of Glendale Elementary School of the Sweet Home School District. Servicemembers delivered the cards and spent some time with our nation’s heroes.
“This is a great example of how well our military services work together in Western New York,” said LTC Adam Czekanski, USACE Buffalo District Commander. “It is humbling to spend time with our veterans and learn about their experiences. I am honored to have the opportunity to remind our veterans that we appreciate their service and that their sacrifices for our nation are not forgotten.”
