A sweet dog named Forrest Gump is in need of a home. Forrest is a very special dog who was born with shaken puppy syndrome.
The disability caused him to not be able to walk. His caretakers say his veterinarian suggested having him put down when he was a puppy, but they refused. They had a wheelchair made for him which Forrest loves!
“We named him Forrest Gump because we believe he will walk again one day. He loves his wheelchair right now and lets us know when he wants to get in and out,” said Steve Barnes.
Forrest is now in need of a home. He doesn’t require any special care besides being put in his wheelchair for walks. He likes massages and his ears rubbed. Barnes is hopeful he will walk again one day on his own for more than 5 minutes. He is crate-trained and comes with his crate.
