Mother makes plea to community: ‘Please help me save my son’

A 29-year-old Buffalo man is in desperate need of a kidney. His mother made a plea on social media to help save her son.

“I’m writing in the hopes of finding someone who would be a possible match to give a kidney and save my son’s life,” said Lynda Gibson. “It’s not for everyone and I completely understand that, but even if the story can be shared there’s someone out there who can be that hero.”

Jason Batch has stage 5 kidney failure which is the last stage. His blood type is B and he can take B /0 – or + . With the help of someone out there, you may be the one to save his life. You can reach the transplant team at ECMC by calling Alicea Wirth-Gonser at 898-4932 or emailing awirth1@ecmc.edu. You may also contact Lynda Gibson at 939-6718 for further information.

“Please help my son. Jason is an amazing person. He’s not a dad, he’s never been married, never had children and without a working kidney he will never have those chances in life. Only nine percent of both of his kidneys are working. We are desperate to save his life.”

How much is recovery time? I am O- I believe or O positive I misplaced my units cards with it listed. How long is recovery time usually. Asking because I work 2 jobs and to provide for me and my kids but if the recovery time isn’t to long I would love to try to help. I am a 27year old who has kids and know how amazing it is to be a parent I could never imagine not given the chance to be one.

We have not found a match yet we are still looking. I have heard of several people contacting her but she’s one person trying to go through all of the list so it does take her sometime but she will contact you. Thank you so much in advance you could also call and leave her a message on her voicemail. Thank you
