Sebastian Bradley, 9, of Williamsville, has been in the news a lot lately because he’s just that special, but today he did something remarkable.
The young man who is battling brain cancer has been collecting Legos for a little over a month now for “Sebastian’s LEGO Club,” an effort he started to bring joy to patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital. Sebastian said that playing with Legos made him happy and passed the time when he was a patient, so he wanted to help bring a smile to other children’s faces.
“I know it’s rough,” he said to a boy named Drew who came to get a Star Wars Lego set. “I have cancer, too.”
Sebastian’s mom, Eli, said Sebastian did so good today and he was very proud of his accomplishment.
“He was tired by the end, but kept pushing to keep going and refused to be in his wheelchair. When we were done I made him,” she said.
Sebastian also went to a few patient’s rooms to visit and deliver Legos to them.
“I am so very proud of him,” said Eli.
We’re very proud of you, too, Sebastian.
