Baby Diana also known as Princess Diana is a little girl who has stolen hearts all over Western New York. Many have followed her journey over these past few months as she was only supposed to live for a few days and surpassed that being the strong fighter that she is. She was able to spend more time with her parents and siblings in the comfort of her own home. Sadly, her mom, Jessica Seneca of North Tonawanda, says their journey is almost over. Diana is now in Hospice Care and the family needs help to spend their last moments with her.
“I just got off the phone with the doctor. He said the only time that she’s not sleeping is when she’s bothered by something and she’s not taking her feeds at all. All it’s really doing is harming her more than anything, so they are going to start feeding her. She also isn’t tolerating her meds going in her tube to her stomach either, so they are removing the feeding tube and putting these little tiny things under her skin to be able to inject the medicine. ‘She will quietly and calmly do this on her own, as long as she’s comfortable,’ he said. Her feeds are causing her to have respiratory issues on top of all her other issues that she has and it’s not making her comfortable.”
Seneca and her husband have two other children, Kinsey, 3, and Olivia, 2. They are in need of childcare so that they can spend time with Diana in the hospital.
“My husband is going to be leaving work, so we’re just looking for someone to watch the two girls so that we can go be there and not have to worry about them,” she said.
