Why does this dog look so sad? Well it’s probably because she’s had a very bad life. Poor Nita is probably thinking of her puppies who were taken from her in Texas while she was left behind and put on a list to be euthanized. Thanks to the kind hearts of volunteers at Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue, she was given a new leash on life, but she’s still waiting for her forever home. Her foster mom, Amy Benko, tells us more.
“She’s a great dog. She absolutely adores all people and want to be with you all the time. She’d take over for my shadow if she could. She has plenty of energy to hike or go on adventures. In fact, she was out with us for hours this winter trying to find her buddy from Texas that got loose. She’s also down for laying around and binge watching television as long as she’s got a comfy spot near her people. She’s housebroken and crate trained and she doesn’t chew on things that don’t belong to her. She’s a great co-pilot in the car. She’s makes the funniest chirping noise when she’s trying to get your attention or is unhappy with the situation she’s in.”
