There are no words for what happened to our community on Saturday, May 14. A terrible person took the lives of 10 innocent, good people and now their families and the City of Good Neighbors are left with broken hearts.
Many are feeling helpless not knowing what they can do to give back during this tragic time, so we wanted to share a few Buffalo charities you can donate to that will ensure your donations will go directly to the families affected by this senseless act.
Our friends at Totally Buffalo Cares are collecting monetary donations, as well as items from their Amazon Wish List to help. They are also hosting a diaper drive (wipes, baby food formula etc.) for those who can’t shop at the Jefferson Avenue Tops. You can drop off items at the Totally Buffalo Stores, located in Amherst, 3328 Sheridan Drive, or Hamburg, 4154 McKinley Parkway). Click for wish list here. You can also purchase #BuffaloStrong shirts from them here.
Be A Blessing Buffalo is teaming up with Chef Darian Bryan on Friday, May 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Larkin Square where they will be selling Rasta Pasta and Jerk Chicken Dinners to raise funds for the families of the victims. If you would like to donate you may do so here or Venmo: @BeABlessingBuffalo
Buffalo Gives is collecting funds for the families of the victims to cover funeral costs, mental healthcare & other needs that arise. Venmo: @buffalogives
