A local business is going above and beyond to help local charities – this time helping Kaely’s Kindness, a nonprofit foundation that helps teen girls battling cancer.
BuffaloBittyBombs is owned by two local women who make and create cocoa bombs, chocolate dipped treats & smash hearts.
Every month, they do a ‘charity bitty bomb’ where 100 percent of the proceeds go to a local foundation, family or individual in need. Last month, they raised $450 for #RedParty – an organization that provides feminine products for homeless & underprivileged woman & young girls here in Buffalo & deliver them to local shelters.
For April, they decided to help Kaely’s Kindness – a foundation that provides resources & support for teen girls with cancer here in Buffalo. In addition to donating 100 percent of the charity bomb profits, they are doing a “bomb 4 bomb” feature: for each charity bomb bought, the owners are donating another cocoa bomb, which will be provided to one of the 60 Buffalo teen girls of Kaely’s Kindness.
The organization’s biggest fundraiser is suppose to be next month, but has been cancelled due to covid. Buffalo Bitty Bombs also started a GoFundMe to try and encourage the community to donate, if they are not fans of chocolate or hot cocoa.
“We’ve been chatting with Kaely, founder of KK, and she’s ecstatic about what we’re doing! Our goal is $1,000 to assist with covering the estimated donations they would have received in their canceled May fundraiser,” said Danielle Richter, co-owner of Buffalo Bitty Bombs.
