Yesterday we shared a story about Chunk, a 4-year-old pit bull who was recommended to be euthanized because he bit a mail carrier while he was outside tethered. Tonight was his hearing and hundreds showed up to show their support for him. Not all could get in because there was not enough room. A temporary decision was made to send Chunk home, but he’s not out of the woods yet. Here’s an update.
*UPDATE AFTER COURT*
“Chunk will be returning to his family this evening. The family has until Friday to place him in a kennel(?) at which time he will wait to be evaluated by a NEW behaviorist. (The previous one removed herself from the case) She will evaluate him both in the home and in the kennel. There will then be yet another hearing to determine Chunk’s fate. Please keep sharing and signing the petition.”
