This may be the best idea ever and we hope it starts a trend. Sally Burky of Springfield, Missouri decided to ditch the traditional bouquets of flowers at her wedding and substitute them with rescue dogs in need of adoption!
It’s such a thoughtful concept that we don’t know why we didn’t think of it ourselves!
“Posts on Pinterest just sparked the idea of having dogs in our ceremony. And then I got to thinking how awesome it would be to have rescue dogs, seniors more specifically! Old Towne Event Center, where our wedding was held, was so welcoming of the idea! I contacted Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary in Washburn, Missouri with the venues permission and the rest is history. It’s been such a humbling and rewarding experience. I’m so glad the best day of our lives will be one forever shared with rescue animals.”
