Have you ever thought about becoming an author, but are unsure about what steps you need to take to begin? Many of us have dreams of writing a book, but don’t know the first thing about getting published. That’s exactly why a local group of authors are hosting a free WNY Author Meet-Up to bring authors and inspiring authors together for an evening of networking and education.
Authors La-Toya Williams, Mercedes Wilson, and Tamyara Brown will be gathering with other local authors in the WNY area to showcase and sell their books as part of a book fair Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Hyatt Place located at 5620 Main Street, Amherst. Vendors will be on hand for food and wine. Entrance to the book fair is free, but if you want to stay for the Q & A session with Tamyara Brown to learn more about becoming a published author it is $25. The book fair will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. and the Q & A will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Come and meet talented local authors and enjoy a book to take home.
“We are extremely excited to see everyone come out and support us,” said Williams. “This is an amazing opportunity for authors to showcase their work and for inspiring authors to learn about how they can publish a book, too.”
