Today is a very special boy’s birthday in heaven. His name is Sebastian Bradley and he would have been 11 years old. He passed away last year, shortly after his 10th birthday after a courageous battle with cancer, but the impact he made on this earth was everlasting.
Even though Sebastian was fighting a battle of his own, he wanted to make sure he helped others. Sebastian was obsessed with legos and it brought him great joy when he was in the hospital fighting a brain tumor. So he started his own organization, Sebastian’s Lego Club, to ensure children at Oishei Children’s Hospital had access to new legos to play with to take their mind off being sick.
His kindness and love for others was like a light that shined on all of us. Now we’d like to remember Sebastian by helping to raise funds to purchase more legos for his cause. His beautiful mother, Elizabeth, has started a fundraiser. Every dollar helps continue Sebastian’s legacy for many years to come. Today Sebastian’s family gathered at Sweet Jenny’s in Williamsville to wish him a happy birthday. They even sent him orange balloons (Sebastian’s favorite color) and painted rocks.
We will never forget you, Seba.
